Vehicles must be parked on the public street near Taiba square, and the walk to the house is about 300 meters, including a final 100-meter stretch through the beach sand while carrying luggage. Part of the route passes through Beco do Siri, which has no lighting — we recommend arriving before dark or using your phone's flashlight for nighttime arrivals. At high tide, you may need to get your feet wet to reach the house's steps. For this reason, the property is best suited for young, active guests looking for an authentic, rustic beachfront experience.

Refugio do Meio is a semi-detached beachfront house facing the sea. It has 2 bedrooms, each equipped with a double bed and a single bed, plus a ceiling fan, both facing the ocean. The house also has a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a veranda with a wooden table, perfect for meals with an ocean view. A simple, cozy space fully integrated with the beach atmosphere.

Guests have exclusive access to the entire house: the 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchenette, and ocean-facing veranda. On high tide days, water may reach the entrance steps.

Access to Refugio is on foot. Vehicles must be parked on the public street, in the Taiba square area. From there, the route continues through Beco do Siri — which has no lighting of its own — to the sandy stretch, with a final segment of about 100 meters along the beach to the house, totaling around 300 meters. For arrivals after sunset, we recommend using your phone's flashlight or letting the Janelas Taiba team know in advance.
